Stored amongst Torchwood's cryogenic caskets is a World War I soldier named Tommy Brockless. Revived for just one day every year, Tommy has gradually developed a close relationship with the normally private Toshiko. But Tommy has been preserved within Torchwood because, at some point, he will be the key to preventing past and future from colliding through the Rift. And when ghosts start appearing in the hospital where he was once a patient, it appears that Tommy's time is finally up.
